GAUGE ARM: Heavy ALUMINUM CASTING, Heat treated and Fully Machined to provide the ultimate in Rigidity and Precision. This arm casting fully covers the drive screw and linear guidance system for long life under extreme conditions. Our standard travel range is 25”, optionally up to 60”.
CARRIAGE: Machined ALUMINUM CASTING, all other parts are machined from solid bars.
GUIDANCE: Hardened steel precision VEE WAYS with ball bearing ROLLER VEE WHEELS give smooth linear travel with zero deflection and need the least amount of maintenance.
DRIVE SYSTEM: CNC controlled units utilize a single DC closed loop servo motor driving a ball bearing supported drive screw. With provisions for manual rear / front hand wheel operation also standard.
ADJUSTMENT: Manual 10” horizontal, 10” vertical travel with individual hand wheels for height adjustment. The vertical slides and gauge bar assembly are easily removed. Range extension bars can be added to work beyond the 25” range.
GAUGE BAR: A 60” Machined steel angle with 2 flip stop fingers is standard, longer gauge bars are optionally available. Two machined steel “Zero reference” set up blocks are provided to adjust the gauge bar to the center of the punch.
HOLDING POWER: Tested @ 400 #
REPEATABILITY: Positioning accuracy within .002 inch ( CNC units )
SCALES: 1/32” graduations for use manually
